Donegal locals are given to describing Tony and Lina’s seafood cooking in Fisk, adjacent to the Harbour Bar and overlooking the beach at Downings, as the best thing to have happened to the county in yonks. Sublime fish tacos, and the smoked haddock and tarragon pie, enjoyed at the table outside with a glass of Picpoul, is as good as it gets.
Had lunch yesterday and what a treat ! Fresh delicious seafood well prepared and presented in a lovely cosy setting . The dulce butter and brown date bread was particularly yummy as was the celeriac slaw which was served with my lovely crab in sourdough bread ! I didn’t want it to be finished . Great service too from friendly staff while the chef prepared the dishes quietly and calmly . I can’t wait to revisit.
